FRISCO YMCA EXECUTIVE TIMES - NOVEMBER

Dear YMCA Members and Friends,

It’s hard to believe that October has come and gone, and we are heading into the Holiday Season already. This is my favorite time of year as we get to experience cooler weather, good food, great sports to watch with World Series/NFL/College Football, holiday decorations, and getting together with family and friends.

Fall is also an important time to get either back into a healthy workout routine or a good time to begin one. Rather than wait to make a New Year Resolution, make a commitment now to begin a regular work out routine. Even if its 20 to 30-minute cardio exercise each day, you’ll look and feel much better about yourself.

I’m making the commitment to continue a regular scheduled workout for the balance of this year. If you’re like me, the hard part is with all the gatherings with friends and family, good food and holiday spirits, it is a struggle not to put on a few unwanted pounds.

So, if you’re already committed to a full workout schedule, congratulations. If not, let me invite you to explore the variety of group exercise classes we offer here at the Y or make an appointment to meet with one of our certified personal trainers who will tailor a workout plan just for you! Join me in getting started now rather than later. Together we’ll enjoy the fall months much more and be able to choose a different type of New Year’s Resolution.

Best wishes to all for a safe, happy and healthy Fall Season!
