Eating well and staying physically active can be difficult for many of us, but it's growing ever more important for us to try, as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimated in 2014 that 86 million Americans have prediabetes.  Prediabetes is typically diagnosed by a physician when when blood glucose levels are higher than normal, but not high enough to be considered Type 2 diabetes.

Luckily, programs like the YMCA's Diabetes Prevention Program exist to provide the support so many of us need to stay on track toward a healthier lifestyle.
