The main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing!
A “Man of Main” plays hard and has fun all day long! Well-trained male staff model Christian values and serve as mentors. In an all-boy environment campers learn to: work together, have fun, build confidence and develop life-long friendships. Character development is a part of daily life, practiced through time at activities and being a part of the community at camp.

What will you do?

Have as much fun outside as you possibly can! See our activities page. In addition to activities listed above, Main Campers participate in a co-ed super-amazing evening program with Ray Bean, soccer and other sports, Project Adventure and chili cookoff.

Do you already know you love to Ski/Wakeboard, Sail or Ride Horses? Sign up for additional time and instruction. Your camper will receive at least 2 hours of instruction in the afternoons. More Information.

Where will you stay?

Campers stay in climate controlled cabins with private bathrooms and showers. Want to take a closer look? See our virtual tour.

About camp staff

Main camp consists of an all-male staff. We recruit camp staff primarily from universities in Texas and Oklahoma. Candidates go through an intense interview process, submit references and must have experience working with kids or in camp programing. Each staff member goes through a criminal background check. After they are hired, they go through a 2 week training that teaches skills in First Aid/CPR, Abuse Prevention training, Child behavior training as well as various skill training. Counselors are 18 or older, they are professional role models, mentors, and help boys become men of character.

Is camp right for your child?

We are an excellent first-time away from home camp! Kids who typically are successful at camp, are comfortable spending the night away from home. A Man of Main finds it safe to try new things can work as part of a team and enjoys being outside.

Everyone is welcome. Financial Assistance is Available.
