The Y helps youth and adults learn about being active and to adopt healthy habits that will improve their overall well-being. The benefits are far greater than just physical health. Whether it’s gaining the confidence that comes from learning to swim or building the positive relationships that lead to stronger communities, participating in programs at the Y is about building the whole person, from the inside out.
Most of our programs are available for onlne registration.
Adventure Guides encourages fathers and their children to spend uninterrupted time together as members of a larger group, building lifelong memories and bonds. Program Registration begins this fall.
After School Care
YMCA Afterschool is about more than looking after kids. It’s about nurturing their development by providing a safe place to learn foundational skills, develop healthy, trusting relationships and build self-reliance.
Youth Swim Lessons
The Y offers a wide range of swimming options for the whole family. Swimming builds self-confidence and develops the whole person – spirit, mind and body. Classes are divided into ability groups and trained instructors emphasize personal safety, swimming skills, endurance and social skills while guiding students with praise and encouragement.
We also offer aquatics exercise classes and competitive swim programs for adults and youth. Class size is determined by both safety factors and age of participants and is closely monitored to ensure safety.
Summer Day Camps
Day or specialty camps at the Y share one thing: they’re about discovery. Kids have the opportunity to explore nature, find new talents, try new activities, gain independence, and make lasting friendships and memories. And, of course, it’s fun too.
Overnight Camps offer a wide variety of outdoor adventures led by trained and experienced leaders who guide children and teenagers in having an unforgettable experience embracing new and exciting adventures.
Youth & Government
Youth & Government is designed to help teenagers become responsible citizens and future leaders of our nation.
The YMCA Youth Sports philosophy is to allow kids to participate in a noncompetitive program with an emphasis on fun, development of character, and fair play. We have on-going registrations for many sports programs available right now.
