Did you know the YMCA is a nonprofit? We are! The YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit social services organization dedicated to making our programs accessible for all. Therefore, financial assistance is available for almost every program we offer, and each year, donors, partner organizations, foundations, and volunteers give their time and financial support to help make this important work possible.

Donate Stocks
Individuals, corporations, and foundations can donate appreciated stocks, bonds, and mutual fund shares that have been owned for more than one year. Donors can avoid capital gains tax and also receive an income tax deduction for the fair market value of the gift.
Donate Appreciated Assets
The YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas, a not-for profit organization organized under the laws of the State of Texas, encourages the solicitation and acceptance of gifts of appreciated assets to further the mission of the YMCA.
Common example include:
- Publicly traded stocks and mutual funds
- Bonds
- Real Estate
- Personal Property (in some cases)
- Privately held business interests
- Cryptocurrency
- Oil, Gas, and Mineral Interests
- Artwork or collectibles
