Each year, the Foundation provides more than $1M to the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas, enabling the Y to remain flexible and innovative, responding with timely solutions to the evolving needs of children and families in each of the communities served by local YMCA branches.

What the Foundation Supports
The goal of the Foundation is to support the mission, operations, and programs of the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas. The Foundation distributes 5% of the fund, based on a 12-quarter average of the fund corpus. Each branch maintains an endowment to ensure proper maintenance. Two thirds of the distributions are donor designated funds to various branches and programs. For example, we have funds specifically established to fund the RISE school and to fund our College Scholarship Program.
The other one third of the distributions are dedicated to support key YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas critical programs for the community, such as:
- Community & Mental Health
- Water Safety Programming
- Teen Leadership Programming
