Stone Fruit Salad

As the warm embrace of summer settles in, our kitchens become havens for vibrant, fresh produce.  Stone fruits—peaches, nectarines, plums, cherries, and apricots—are at their peak, offering a symphony of flavors that embody the essence of the season. Try this stone fruit salad recipe!

Ingredients

2 plums, pitted and sliced

2 nectarines, pitted and sliced

2 apples, cored and diced

2 peaches, pitted and sliced

1 cup cherries, pitted and halved

1 tablespoon lemon zest

2 tablespoons lemon juice

1 teaspoon fresh ginger, finely grated

 

Directions:

Combine the Fruit: In a large mixing bowl, combine the sliced plums, nectarines, apples, peaches, and halved cherries. Add Lemon and Ginger: Squeeze the lemon juice and lemon zest into the bowl, then add the fresh ginger on top.

Mix Well: Gently toss the fruit to combine all the ingredients

 

Optional

1 tablespoon honey (for added sweetness)

Fresh mint leaves (for garnish)

Raspberries or Blueberries (for flavor)

Almonds or Walnuts (for a crunch)

Side of Greek Yogurt (for extra protein)
