It's Time To Focus On Your Brain!

BrainHealth Week is February 20-24 2023

The Center for BrainHealth is launching the first annual BrainHealth Week, February 20-24, 2023, as a focused effort to educate and engage people in building healthy brain habits to unlock the brain’s full potential. It's a five-day interactive experience filled with expert speakers, engaging activities, access to brain health insights, and support for healthy-brain habits that can be part of a daily routine.

In the past 100 years, human longevity has doubled. Our bodies, however, are outlasting our brains. Most people live their last years with their brains in a relentless process of decline. Research has decisively shown that intelligence, memory, cognitive function, and even mental health can be impacted by how we protect and train our brains. We learned from the heart health revolution that we could reverse this trend with the right strategies. We know from cognitive neuroscience that healthier daily habits can change the trajectory of our lives. The time is NOW. A national omnibus survey conducted in August 2022 with 1,000 respondents showed:

  • 95% believe they can change their brains.
  • Fewer than 3 in 10 know where to turn for resources and insights about brain health.
