DALLAS YMCA TEENS TAKE ON CHICAGO

The YMCA’s National Judicial Competition allows students to test their speaking and rhetoric skills. Delegates work in groups to prepare speeches and arguments about an assigned case on complex legal and world issues. Two full days of competition takes place at the John Marshall Law School, the Chicago Bar, and the Federal Courthouse.

The results are in and we are so proud to congratulate our hard-working National Judicial Competition teens!  They are:

From the Oak Cliff YMCA the Duncanville High School Appellate team placed 2nd.  Team member included: Sebastien Caballes and Kennedi Onic.  Sebastien also received the 2nd place Attorney Award.

From the Coppell YMCA, the Creekview High School Mock Trial Team placed 4th.  Team members include:   Kasi Reed, R’mani Alexander, Yusra Tariq, Amena Tep and Anonik Tep.  Yusra Tariq was also awarded Outstanding Witness.
