READY, SET...READ!

National Read Across America Day is March 2nd. In 1988 the day was established by National Education Association. March 2nd is also Dr. Seuss birthday and children read his books. It's a day to celebrate reading.

Our YMCA preschool and afterschool programs celebrated National Reading Day on March 2nd through reading, crafts, and (of course) enjoying green eggs and ham! Our Park South Family YMCA preschoolers created their own Cat and the Hat hats and read Dr. Seuss classics.
