Empowering Cancer Survivors: Reclaim Strength, Wellness, and Hope with LIVESTRONG at the YMCA
Stay Strong Goal: At the YMCA, our mission is to empower individuals to thrive in mind, body, and spirit. We understand that a diagnosis can be life-changing, and our goal is to provide comprehensive support that extends beyond medical treatment.
LIVESTRONG at the YMCA is a twelve-week fitness program designed for cancer survivors at no cost. This program is designed to provide physical and emotional support for cancer survivors during and after treatment protocols. Participants meet twice a week for a total of twelve weeks.
Classes are hosted on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10:30 AM and 4:30 PM at the Plano Family YMCA.
Our Approach:
We believe wellness is a holistic journey, and we are committed to addressing the unique needs of each individual. Our program and resources are designed to enhance physical strength, mental resilience, and emotional well-being.
Sessions are led by nationally certified Personal Trainers who bring compassion and motivation to each session. The certified staff are trained in post-rehab exercise, nutrition, and supportive cancer care.
This twelve-week fitness program is offered FREE to cancer survivors. In addition, we provide a membership to the Plano Family YMCA at 20% off following graduation from the program.
What We Offer:
