TBall/Softball/Baseball

TBall/Softballl/Baseball at the Richardson Family YMCA is offered only in the summer. The focus in our leagues is to have fun, meet new friends and play in a non-competitive environment. It is designed to teach players the fundamentals of the game. Players will learn how to catch, throw, and bat in a fun team atmosphere.

2024 summer participants should register based on the calendar grade of Fall 2023 to end of Summer 2024 school year.

Begins May 1 with add'l $25 late fee

Registration Deadline:

May 24 or until roster space is full.

Grades:

Girls can play on baseball teams if desired.

PK4/Kinder (co-ed): TBall

1st-2nd Grades: Coach Pitch, Softball/Baseball

3rd-4th Grades: Modified Player, Pitch Softball/Baseball

5th-6th Grades: Player Pitch, Softball/Baseball

Fees:

Member: $85

Non-Member: $110

Season Dates*:

May18 to June 29

Schedule will post by Monday 13, end of day

Game Days*:

Saturdays and/or Thursday Evenings (No games Memorial weekend)

Practices:

Starts week of May 15 / One practice per week decided by volunteer coach

Coaches Meeting:

May 14 at Richardson YMCA, 6pm virtual

Games are at Richardson Family YMCA, Huffines Park, Custer/Renner and Berkner Parks.

Practices are located at Richardson Family YMCA and local parks.

Friend/Coach requests are accepted on registration forms but are not guaranteed. YMCA reserves the right to add any player(s) to a roster if necessary.

Coaches are volunteers that must register for a Criminal Background Check with Athlete Protection training. If you are interested in coaching please indicate so on your registration form and click on the link of Volunteer Coach on the left sidebar.

Baseball Registration Softball Registration T-Ball Registration

Small Fry T-Ball

45 minute classes for boys and girls ages 3 & 4. The program is designed to teach the basics of rules, techniques and safety practices of the sport. Each player will receive a small fry t-shirt and participation medal.

Refund Policies

All Refund Requests must be made in writing at the branch. Submission of the Refund Request Form does not guarantee a refund of any amount. All forms are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and must be approved by the YMCA Sports Director and Executive Director.

Insufficient Funds

All returned checks, bank drafts, credit card charges will be billed a service fee of $25.

Late Registration Fee

Late registrations will be assessed an additional $20 fee and may not be placed on a team. (we try our best!) Late fee's are not refundable.
