After School Programs
As the leader in youth development, we focus on the whole child, understanding the importance of providing our participants with a balance of academically rich activities as well as an enhanced focus on overall physical well-being. We partner with industry experts, and your district to design experiences that help your children learn, grow and thrive.
Sibling Discount: Sibling Discount of flat $5 off any additional children after first child enrolled.
Registration Fee: The Registration Fee of $90/child is due at the payment screen upon enrollment unless you sign up during one of our promotional weekends. For the 2024-25 school year, those weekends are May 3rd - 6th 2024 & July 12th - 15th 2024. During these weekends, the registration fee is discounted by 50%, making it $45/child. This fee, in full, is due at any other point of registration.
Member vs Non-Member Pricing: Please note that for the discounted member rate, your child(ren) must be a YMCA member. This means that adult-only membership types would not benefit from the discounted youth programs. You would need a membership that includes dependents. Your child must also be a member during the weeks registered for the member pricing.
Cancellation: We require a two weeks' written notice using this link: YMCA Afterschool Cancellation Link. You will receive an email from our Customer Support team once it has been processed. No refunds are provided for payments made prior to the fulfillment of the two week notice.
Customer Support: 469-902-9079 or tirzah.anderson@ymcadallas.org. Please note that our business hours are Mon-Fri 9:00-5:00. Any communication received over the weekend will be handled the following week.
District Employees in select districts may qualify for an employee discount. Please check your designated location page to see if the discount is listed for your district. If your school district is one of the selected districts to offer ISD discounts, please email us from your campus-approved email address at tirzah.anderson@ymcadallas.org and we will adjust your account
*Please note, the district employee will need to be the primary parent(s) or guardian(s) of the child(ren).

WHY YMCA AFTERSCHOOL?
More Physical Activity
Our after school care program includes at least 30 minutes of outdoor or indoor physical activity and movement a day.
YMCA Afterschool Staff
Our staff is carefully selected and receives over 30 hours of training, from child development to the importance of being a positive role model.
We Partner With Schools
Our curriculum is customizable for each district or school. Administrators and parents partner with their Program Director to decide which activities are most important to their scholar's goals.
We Listen To Our Parents
We conduct two surveys per school year to assess parent satisfaction with our after school care programs.
QUALIFIED AND CARING ROLE MODELS
Afterschool Staff
Our staff is carefully selected and screened. Each staff person receives over 30 hours of training annually in topics that span child development to curriculum delivery and much more. All staff must pass a criminal background check, FBI fingerprint background check and character reference checks. In some districts, we also collaborate with local schools to employ teachers and para-professionals to assist with homework time and clubs.
WE ARE HERE FOR YOU
Affordable Care and Financial Assistance
While we try to make our after school care program affordable for everyone, we understand that cost may be a barrier for some families. We encourage you to apply for financial assistance through our Y For All Program if you find that you may have difficulties in paying your program fees. Click here to download the application and begin the process. Please return your completed application along with the supporting documents to your local YMCA which can be found here
The registration and weekly enrollment fee may vary by district and/or school.
Raising Funds
You are also invited to become a part of the YMCA Annual Campaign, where parents and other volunteers help raise money to provide scholarships for families who would not otherwise be able to participate in our programs.
If interested in supporting our Annual Campaign for children and families, click here to speak with our Development staff.
Our school age programs are licensed by the Texas Department Family & Protective Services (TDFPS) and operate at a 1:15 staff to student ratio (well below the ratio of 1 to 26 required by the state of Texas).
