CAMP UPDATE
As you may be aware, our camp has been a partnership with Collin County since 2006 in which the Y manages Outdoor Education, Summer Camp and Group programs year-round. The past few years have brought changes to both our organizations and as a result, the County and the Y have mutually agreed to end operations at Collin County Adventure Camp effective May 29th.
In the Y's discussions with the County, it is apparent that both organizations take immense pride in our near 19-year collaboration, built on shared goals to reach and serve the community through enriching outdoor experiences. Collin County Adventure Camp has long been a destination for students, children and families and groups and organizations, providing a space for learning, personal growth and adventure.
We are beginning the process of notifying all registered summer campers and booked groups and will be inviting them to join us at our other day and overnight camp options within the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas.
Camp Grady Spruce
Experience the ultimate overnight summer camp in Texas at Camp Grady Spruce, located on the stunning Possum Kingdom Lake. Designed for kids and teens ages 7-16, this adventure-packed sleepaway camp offers boating, horseback riding, hiking, and team-building activities in a safe and supportive environment. Camp on the Lake
Bring the thrill of overnight camp to the daytime at Camp on the Lake! This one-of-a-kind Dallas summer camp gives kids ages 6- 13 access to exciting lakefront activities, including kayaking, paddleboarding, archery, horseback riding, and ziplining. With daily transportation from Dallas-area YMCAs, campers enjoy a fun, safe, and adventurous experience without an overnight stay.
YMCA Day Camps
Our YMCA Day Camps serve children ages 4-12, and are all about discovery: finding new talents, trying new activities, and making lasting memories. We believe in the power of learning through play; therefore, Campers' days will be filled with weekly theme-based enrichment activities, nature/outdoor learning, time for creative and performing arts, improvisation games, fitness/conditioning, community service projects, global diversity efforts, off-site field trips, swimming/water games, leadership opportunities, and so much more!
