YMCA TEXAS MODEL UNITED NATIONS

YMCA Texas Model United Nations is a youth development program in which students in grades 6-12 simulate the United Nations, stepping into the role of Member States' ambassadors and meeting to solve pressing global problems through the art of compromise and diplomacy. Join us and change your world! Through regional summits and the annual state conference, delegates collaborate with peers and participate in enriching committee simulations. These conferences enhance diplomatic and leadership skills and foster a supportive community of young change-makers dedicated to making a worldwide impact.

Delegates can participate in a model General Assembly, Economic and Social Council, Security Council, Media Corps, and more!

ABOUT MODEL UNITED NATIONS

Originally piloted under the umbrella of Texas Youth and Government in 2010, Model United Nations launched on its own conference in 2015, hosted by the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas that welcomed delegates from YMCA MUN clubs from around the state. This program and its events allow young global leaders the opportunity to not only meet others with similar interests, but also to develop their leadership abilities, hone their speaking prowess, train critical thinking and conflict resolution skills, all while becoming better people and better leaders.
