Youth Fall Sports
Help young athletes grow in confidence, teamwork, and character! Volunteer as a coach, scorekeeper, or team assistant for our youth sports leagues. You don’t have to be an expert, just someone who cares about encouraging kids to do their best and have fun.
Volunteer roles include:
- Coaching or assistant coaching
- Game-day support and setup
- Snack and team parent coordination
Volunteering with Y Sports is a rewarding way to make an impact one game, one cheer, and one smile at a time.
Youth & Government – District Conference
Empower the next generation of civic leaders through the Texas Youth & Government program. Each fall, hundreds of students gather to debate, legislate, and learn about democracy in action.
Volunteers are needed to assist with:
- Conference registration and logistics
- Timekeeping and event setup
- Judging sessions or mentoring students

The Dallas YMCA Turkey Trot
It’s not Thanksgiving without the Dallas YMCA Turkey Trot! One of the largest family-friendly events in the region, the Trot wouldn’t be possible without hundreds of amazing volunteers.
Volunteer opportunities include:
- Race-day setup and teardown
- Water stations and cheering zones
- Packet pickup before the event

Catalyst Christmas
Make the season brighter for local families through Catalyst Christmas, our holiday outreach initiative. Volunteers help sort gifts, wrap presents, and assist with family pickup events.

Volunteer at The Ashford Rise School of Dallas
The Ashford Rise School of Dallas, part of the YMCA family, provides high-quality early education to children with and without developmental disabilities. Volunteers bring joy and energy to the classroom and help with reading, playtime, and special events.
