YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas Serving Fate

Registration is now open for the Dallas YMCA Turkey Trot, presented by Texas Health! Now in its 59th year, thousands of runners and walkers are expected to fill the streets of Downtown Dallas on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 26th, as part of the largest YMCA event in North Texas.

For over 30 years, DCET and Believe in Yourself, Inc. (“La Escuelita”) have empowered individuals and families across the Metroplex through literacy, education, and workforce development programs. This article highlights the inspiring journey of Juanita Estrada, a dedicated student in the program at La Escuelita, located at the Grand Prairie Family YMCA, whose story reflects the life-changing impact of literacy and community support.
