As part of this commitment, we proudly offer Nationwide Membership, giving our members access to YMCA facilities across the United States. Whether you're at home, at work, or traveling, you can visit any participating YMCA and continue working toward your health and wellness goals.
What is Nationwide Membership?
Nationwide Membership allows you to use any participating YMCA in the United States through your membership at the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas. We offer this benefit to support your health and wellness journey, no matter where life takes you. This program is a vital component of our mission to strengthen communities and ensure everyone has the opportunity to live a healthier life.
What is Nationwide Membership?
Nationwide membership is a member benefit that allows all members within the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas to visit participating associations without paying an extra fee. Nationwide membership is extended to most YMCAs in the United States. Members of any participating YMCA may also visit our branches when they are away from home.
What does this mean for you as a current Dallas YMCA member?
With an active membership, you may access all 19 YMCAs in our Association and many Associations across the country.
What are the rates?
You will only pay your dues at your Home Y, regardless of how many Associations you visit. Your home Y is the branch where you have at least 50% facility access.
What do I need to do if I visit another participating Association?
You will sign a waiver to use their location. This waiver is required for you to be granted access in other Ys, and only needs to be completed once.
Will my member pricing be available for programs at another Association?
You will pay member rates within our home Association. At all participating Ys outside our Association, you will pay their non-member (or program member) price.
Do all members qualify for Nationwide Membership?
No, short-term members and members subsidized by a third party (Sliver Sneakers, Silver & Fit, Optum) do not qualify.
My Y charges members for amenities like ChildWatch, lockers, towels, water, etc. Will I be offered these items for free at other locations and vice versa?
Visiting members will adhere to the policies of the Y they are visiting.
Is there a fee to participate?
No. Nationwide membership is offered as a benefit for all active YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas members.
