What is the Heritage Club?

The Heritage Club is comprised of individuals and families who support the mission of the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas and its branches through planned and legacy gifts. Membership in the YMCA Heritage Club is special. Members receive an invitation to the annual Heritage Club Dinner, recognition and thanks in the YMCA Annual Report. In addition, education and invitation-only events are planned annually.

How do you become a Heritage Club Member?

The Heritage Club is composed of individuals who have made an outright gift to the foundation or notify the YMCA that they have provided for a future planned gift, whether large or small, to the Y's endowment fund in one of the following ways:

  • An outright gift to the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas Foundation of cash, marketable securities, property or other assets
  • Creation of a charitable remainder trust, annuity trust, gift annuity, or life estate gift to benefit the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas
  • Naming the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas to receive a bequest in one's will or living trust, insurance policy, or retirement plan or IRA

Gifts to the endowment fund are held in perpetuity, unless otherwise directed by the donor, with only the earnings used for specific programs or for general purposes.

If you need more information about making a future gift to the endowment, or have already made a gift and want to inform the Y, please contact:
