Unlike traditional drop-off programs, Adventure Guides is a shared experience where fathers and kids participate together in fun, character-building activities that create lasting memories and strong family connections.

Families can enjoy weekend campouts that include hiking, canoeing, horseback riding, ziplining, crafts, storytelling, games, and leadership-building activities. There are also seasonal local activities including derby races, pumpkin carving, dances and more!

No, a YMCA membership is not required to join Adventure Guides, though members may receive discounted program fees.

Yes! Adventure Guides is open to all fathers and their children, regardless of background or experience. The program focuses on building strong relationships, fostering belonging, and having fun!

The program registration fee cover expenses that are not covered by campouts or events. Program registration for the child is needed prior to registering for any campouts and events. This is a yearly fee that only needs to be paid once a school year. We do offer an additional child discount for multiple siblings in the same household please email aginfo@ymcadallas.org for this discount and we will credit your account.

This fee is included during the campout registration process. If you are new to the program or not ready to register for the campouts, please use the link below to pay for the registration fee. This fee is prorated if you are signing up in the spring.
