YOUTH SOCCER

Grand Prairie YMCA offers soccer in the fall and spring seasons.  Fall registration opens in June while Spring registration opens in January.

Our youth soccer league has no tryouts and everyone is welcome. Thanks to the Y’s sports, philosophy and soccer rules, kids participate in every game and receive equal playing time, regardless of skill level. Youth soccer at the Y develops fundamental soccer skills, teaches teamwork and promotes physical activity in a team environment. This is an outdoor soccer league.

Participants should register based on the calendar grade of Fall 2023 to end of Summer 2024 school year.

All teams are co-ed.

YOUTH LEAGUE SOCCER

Required: all participants must wear shin guards.

Ball Size:

• PRK/K/1st - Size 3
• 2nd to 6th - Size 4
• 7th and up - Size 5

Game location: 

Pre-K to 6th Grade: Grand Prairie Family YMCA, Moorland YMCA at Oak Cliff, or local YMCA branches

7th/8th Grade: Grand Prairie YMCA, Richardson YMCA, and Semones YMCA

Friend/Coach requests are accepted on registration forms but are not guaranteed.  YMCA reserves the right to add  any player(s) to a roster if necessary.  

Coaches: Are volunteers that must register for a Criminal Background Check with Athlete Protection training. If you are interested in coaching please indicate so on your registration form and click on the link of Volunteer Coach on the left sidebar.

The Pre-School Teams (Itty Bitty Soccer) will have a 6-week season (all games).

Itty Bitty/Preschool Clinic/Camp

SUMMER SOCCER CLINIC

This soccer clinic partnered with North Texas SC and FC Dallas. Registered players (from 3rd-8th grade only) will be able to learn soccer skills and drills from skilled soccer coaches a part of the organization, and will have the opportunity to receive a FC Dallas/North Texas SC soccer ball and t-shirt.
