This information also aligns with dietary recommendations to prevent osteoporosis, cancer, heart disease, high cholesterol, stroke, and diabetes. Join us on the following dates from 10:30-11:30 AM. December 17th - Shopping, Preparing, and Cooking Food for Better Blood Pressure Management
Learn the secret of where 77% of sodium in the American diet comes from and simple tips for lowering sodium intake. Become a food label guru and learn how to shop for blood pressure-friendly foods. Put your skills to the test on how to prepare and cook food for better blood pressure management with group members. Apply new concepts to your own diet and share tips and tricks with the group.
January 21st - Heart Healthy Eating for Life
Managing weight, cholesterol, and blood pressure by following a healthy eating pattern is explained in detail, from macronutrients to micronutrients. Gain a greater insight into what our body needs and why. Apply new concepts and tips on snacking and eating out to your own eating patterns and discover new ideas from others.
