HomeBank Texas Announces Transformational Gift to J.E.R. Chilton YMCA at Rockwall Capital Campaign

ROCKWALL, TX – In a landmark show of support for the health and vitality of Rockwall County, HomeBank Texas is proud to announce a $500,000 financial gift to the J.E.R. Chilton YMCA at Rockwall in support of its ongoing $5.2 million capital campaign to renovate and expand its current facility to meet the needs of a growing and diverse
community.
This transformative donation secures naming rights to the YMCA’s future-renovated natatorium and supports the Y’s planned expansion efforts, including:
- Aquatic Center Renovation – Rebuilding and winterizing the roof and exterior walls for year-round use, adding a new changing room, and enhancing overall comfort and safety to expand access to water safety programs, swim lessons, and recreational swimming for local families.
- New Group Exercise Studio – Creating an additional dedicated space for group fitness classes to better serve member wellness and provide more opportunities for connection and engagement.
- Expanded Parking Lot – Increasing parking capacity to improve accessibility and convenience for members and guests.
“At HomeBank Texas, we believe in investing in organizations that uplift lives, foster connection, and strengthen communities,” said Mark Andrews, bank owner and chairman of the board.
Landon Lowry, bank president and CEO, added, “By making this early and significant commitment, HomeBank Texas hopes to inspire additional community support for the capital campaign and help bring the YMCA’s vision for growth and accessibility to life.”
The naming of the natatorium highlights a long-standing relationship between HomeBank Texas and the J.E.R. Chilton YMCA. Most recently, HomeBank presented a $15,000 donation to the Y’s Angel Camp program for children with special needs—helping ensure that families can participate in summer camp activities at no cost.
Further demonstrating this commitment, Eric Stacey, HomeBank’s Chief Lending Officer and head of Commercial Lending, was recently honored as the J.E.R. Chilton YMCA Volunteer of the Year, recognizing his hands-on leadership and service to the organization.
“We’re grateful to work alongside HomeBank Texas to improve and expand our facility in one of the fastest growing counties in the country,” said Harold Young, District Executive Director of the J.E.R. Chilton YMCA at Rockwall. “Our commitment to building a healthy spirit, mind, and body starts with high-quality programming. Their contribution allows us to deliver enhanced resources and services, and is a vital part of a broader vision to provide what our community needs, and deserves. HomeBank’s support in our mission will create opportunities that might not have been possible otherwise.
This announcement comes at a pivotal time, as the J.E.R. Chilton YMCA prepares to celebrate its 50th anniversary this fall. Since opening its doors in 1975, the Y has remained a cornerstone of Rockwall County—promoting youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. A formal presentation of the HomeBank Texas gift will take place ahead of the Y’s milestone celebration on the evening of Saturday, October 11.
In addition to its deep ties to Rockwall, HomeBank Texas continues to invest in the communities it serves, with locations in Rockwall, Dallas, and Seagoville. The bank is currently preparing to open its new corporate headquarters in Seagoville, reinforcing its commitment to thoughtful growth, local leadership, and hometown service.
A locally owned and operated community bank, HomeBank is known for more than just financial services. Its team members are actively engaged in local chambers of commerce, support numerous nonprofits, and are dedicated to giving back to the communities they proudly serve.
