Children should arrive with a labeled backpack containing a water bottle, lunch (if needed), sunscreen, bug spray, a hat, a change of clothes, a towel, swimwear, and a plastic bag for wet items.
Please do not send your child with electronics (such as cell phones or iPads), toys, money, or other non-essential personal items.
Items brought outside of the approved list are strongly discouraged, as the camp is not responsible for items that are lost, stolen, or damaged.
Our Lost and Found is located in the check-in area and clearly labeled.

Who Day Camp Programs Are For
The YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas Day Camp programs serve children from ages 4 to 12, depending on the specific site.
Paying for Day Camp Programs
Payments are drafted on the Wednesday before the week(s) of care you’re registered for.
YMCA members receive a discounted rate on Day Camp programs, while non-members pay the standard rate. Exact fees vary by location, but becoming a member can help families save on weekly costs and enjoy access to additional YMCA benefits and programs.
Please note: to receive the discounted member rate, your child(ren) must be active YMCA members. Adult-only memberships do not qualify for discounts on youth programs. You will need a membership that includes dependents. Additionally, your child must maintain an active membership during the weeks they are registered under the member pricing.
Yes! You can register for Summer Day Camp on a week-by-week basis, giving you the flexibility to choose only the weeks your child will attend.

Yes, as a non-profit organization, we offer financial assistance to ensure weekly fees are not a barrier for families in need of our care. Visit our website here to learn more about the application process and next steps.
Our childcare programming does not offer a military or first responder discount. However, YMCA memberships do qualify for a military discount, and having a membership reduces the weekly rate for our Afterschool care. Visit your local YMCA to learn more about membership benefits for the whole family!
