Program Highlights
- Enrollment: Serves up to 65 children daily across 6 classrooms, each with 8-12 students.
- Inclusive Approach: Over 50% of students have developmental delays, creating a diverse learning environment where children of all abilities grow together.
- Classroom Structure: Organized by age (6 months to 6 years) and educational needs, with a 1:3-4 adult-to-child ratio. Each classroom has a lead teacher (Master’s degree or pursuing one) and two instructional teacher assistants.
- Individualized Education: Children receive up to 6,000 hours of instruction, intervention, and therapy by age six, preparing them for mainstream kindergarten and beyond.
Classroom Support Model
The Rise School of Dallas is an inclusive preschool program designed to support children with and without developmental differences in a collaborative classroom setting. Our classrooms are intentionally staffed with experienced teachers and therapists who work together to support all children in the group.
Because our model is built around shared classroom support, we are not able to provide individual 1:1 aides or constant one-to-one supervision for a single child. Teachers and assistants rotate support and implement strategies that help all children participate in classroom routines and learning experiences.
If a child requires continuous one-to-one assistance in order to participate safely or meaningfully in the classroom, the Rise program may not be the most appropriate placement at that time. In those situations, we will work closely with families and professionals to help identify a setting that can provide the level of support the child needs.
