OUR CAMPAIGN

The Waxahachie Family YMCA has launched a $3.7 million capital campaign to renovate and expand our current building. 

The renovation and expansion will allow the Waxahachie Family YMCA to provide more space for our members and grow our programs four-fold.

Our building expansion and renovations will include:

  • Expanded Facility Space – An additional 11,000 sq. ft. to better serve our members.
  • Inviting Fellowship Atrium – A modern, warm, and welcoming environment for community connection.
  • Adaptive Playground – A new adaptive playground, ensuring all children can play.
  • Increased Parking – 100+ additional parking spaces for convenience.
  • New Community Park – A vibrant green space next to the YMCA for recreation and relaxation.
  • Modern Family Dressing Rooms – New, spacious dressing rooms, plus private, individualized options.
  • Enhanced Child Watch Space – A dynamic, engaging space to accommodate the growing number of children while parents exercise.
  • Spacious Group Exercise Studios – Two brand-new 1,600 sq. ft. studios for fitness classes.
  • Versatile Community Room – A dedicated space to support our expanding programs and events.

Project Timeline

The first phase of our renovations began with essential site improvements, including bringing areas out of the floodplain. This crucial step ensures a safer and more resilient facility, setting the stage for the transformation ahead. Expected Completion Date: June 2025

We’ll begin work on a brand-new community park, designed to offer outdoor fitness areas, walking paths, and green spaces for families to enjoy. This addition will create new opportunities for recreation and wellness beyond the walls of the YMCA.

The most exciting phase begins! We’ll launch major renovations and expansions to key areas of the YMCA, including:

  • Upgraded fitness areas with new equipment and enhanced workout spaces.
  • Expanded group exercise studios for more classes and training opportunities.
  • Modernized locker rooms and common areas for improved comfort and accessibility.
  • New multi-purpose spaces to support youth programs, community events, and our child watch space.
